My work starts from an ancient desire, almost ancestral, to create with my hands, with the earth and with fire, to transform a humble material like the earth to make it a precious object to wear. The reference point is the nature with its forms, its colors, its life, but also poetry, dreams. I rely on the ancient Japanese ceramics' decorating technique called Raku (literally "pleasure", "joy").

The origin of Raku is related to the tea ceremony in tune with the Zen spirit. For me this means a continuous experiment with clay, glazes and oxides. Alchemy, magic and emotion, a door that allows me to get to distant worlds. I am self taught and this means uncertainties, but also freedom to try without any conditioning only on the basis of my feelings. Each object created is a unique piece made entirely by hand and embodies a thought, an emotion, a story, and then a precise choice of form, of clays, of glazes and afterwards I entrust the fire and its uncertainty, to implement the miracle of colors.

The pieces are extracted hot from the oven, and then they obtain unique characteristics during cooling. A strongly reducing environment, devoid of oxygen, obtained by covering the object with sawdust and dried leaves, causes the formation of lustrous and reflections, due to the chemical reaction of the oxides present in the glazes; the cycle eventually closeswith the immersion of the objects in the water.

While coming from a collection each piece can not be deliberately reproduced, as it brings slight imperfections testimonies of a creative process that generated it, a detail that makes it unique, unique and precious.
