Hi Alan hopefully you found the right way to post your message!;) Obviously it is not how things should work, that's why we are working to fix this problem and avoid to experience this in the future. Thanks for your comprehension. Valentina

 Like others, can't post on an opening post - so here is the text;-   Interesting article in today's Grauniad about how British lecturers were denied a fair wage by Italian universities http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jan/31/british-lecturers-italy-pay Hopefully, they'll get their back pay         [within the next 30 years or so, knowing how the Italian system works!]

 Well, at least some justice has been done although lecturers should not receive this sort of treatment. On the bright side, they got the support from the EU and with the new reforms taking place in universities it will be difficult to repeat this sort of unfair treatment. Fingers crossed!
