Hi there, just bought a house in Chieti, in a small village. When I viewed the house I was accompanied by a Geometra who offered to do a survey for me. I paid E300 for the survey which was in fact no more than about 15 words saying that the house was 'structurally sound' but needed some work doing to the roof which would be in the region of E6,000.
A lot of us are aware of the 30 day planning rule where you can do a lot of building works after you submit your plans to the Comune but you do have to wait 30 days before you start in order to give them time to object. My question is that do you get a piece of paper from the Comune which allows/gives permission for you to go on with your project.
