Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is well known for his best selling book of Italian recipes, but it turns out that his run-in with the Italian head-of-state was less of a success.

In a recent television interview, Jamie was asked to make menu suggestions for various celebrities. When a photo of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi appeared, Jamie launched into a story involving his first meeting with the premier, Naomi Campbell and laxatives.

Jamie explained that he first met Berlusconi at a G20 conference. While being introduced to supermodel Naomi Campbell, the British chef was rudely shoved aside. The interloper was none other than Silvio Berlusconi, who pushed Jamie away after a three second conversation to hand Ms. Campbell his phone number.

The last laugh was on Berlusconi, if one is to believe the story told by Jamie.

"It's alright," Jamie said of the rude encounter. "I was cooking the lunch that day. All I'm going to say is: I dealt with it".

The chef goes on to suggest he slipped some laxatives into Berlusconi's meal.

The phone number story involving Berlusconi and Naomi Campbell has been corroborated by Sarah Brown, wife of former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who also attended the state dinner. Whether or not Jamie Oliver really sent Berlusconi to the porcelain throne is for you to decide.
