Two celebrated Italian singers are slated for London performances in the coming weeks as part of Rosenblatt Recitals 2011/12 season.

Baritone Lucio Gallo will perform a programme dedicated to the works of Italian composer Sir Francesco Paolo Tosti on the 12th of October. Gallo, who is originally from Taranto, studied with Elio Battagli at the ‘Giuseppe Verdi’ Conservatory of Turin. Gallo has previously performed Tosca at La Scala and teaches singing at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese between his international engagements.

Then on the 24th of November, tenor Fabio Armiliato will take the stage with a recital dedicated to musicologist John Steane. Armiliato, from Genoa, was trained at the Niccoló Paganini Music Academy. The decorated Italian singer has won the Concorso Internazionale Tito Schipa in Lecce and the Concorso Internazionale Pavia Lirica.

Last season, the Rosenblatt Recitals included performances by two other talented Italian singers: baritone Massimo Cavaletti and soprano Serena Malfi.
