One villa on Lake Como wasn’t enough for George Clooney, who, according to Italian daily La Repubblica, has just bought another house in Italy: this time in Lunigiana, a secluded area between Liguria and Toscana.

According to La Repubblica, the property acquired by Clooney is a 16th-century, 1,000-square-meter villa with original frescos, surrounded by a park of two hectares. The building is currently being renovated.

Interestingly enough, the local media reports that locals know nothing about this villa – which may explain why the actor chose it: to enjoy the privacy he no longer has at the by now very famous Villa Oleandra in Laglio, where the mayor had to declare an area of 100 meters around the villa off limits to the public.

Clooney fell in love with Lunigiana after riding around on his Harley Davidson and concluded the purchase within a few days, with the help of Proto Organization, La Repubblica reports.
