This is the time of the year when in Italy we try the “vino novello” (new wine), therefore we picked vino as our Word of the Week.

Do you prefer vino bianco (white wine) or vino rosso (red wine)?

If you want to order a glass of wine, you’d say vorrei un bicchiere di vino; but perhaps a glass isn’t enough, so why not order the whole bottle, una bottiglia di vino.
