Last month, on the 21st, Andrea Bocelli and Veronica Berti have been blessed with a baby girl, Virginia, another wonderful event to add to his fascinating life. We dedicated this month Italy's Treasures feature to his interesting life and amazing career that turned him into one of Italy's most loved and well known voices.
And from Bocelli's classical tenor's voice to jazz music, John Bensalhia, took us around the Italian Jazz scene. Italy has always had a strong affinity for the this genre and this summer, in particular looks to be a scorching one for jazz fans. You can choose from a great selection of acclaimed jazz festivals and/or visit some top jazz clubs all over Italy.
Finally, we say "addio" to one of the most celebrated contemporary Italian writers Antonio Tabucchi, who died on the 25th of March in Lisbon, Portugal, who was considered by many scholars as the most important Italian prose writer since Italo Calvino.
