Ciao a tutti,
There are good news for those of you interested in buying a house in Italy. According Italy's Agenzia del Territorio, which monitors house prices, the 2009 housing market was steady. Pat Eggleton had a look at prices, regions, locations and houses type, and she sums it all here.
Apart from visiting Italy to look for a house, summer is a great period to enjoy open air events, like the Festival dei Borghi più belli d'Italia (Most Beautiful Villages in Italy). The club organizing the event, has the aim of promoting lesser known villages with precious cultural heritage. This year they focused on the Marche region and in September San Ginesio and Sarnano villages will be full of fun: food, art, culture and music!
Positano, another great place that you could add at your must-visit places in Italy - if you still haven't - was also the set of "Only you", the popular american comedy about love, destiny and fortune!
When you get in contact with Italians, in a more formal context, it helps knowing how to address them, especially if they hold a degree. This little guide may help you!
Arrivederci!
