Ciao a tutti,
Italy is the country with the highest number of UNESCO-protected world-heritage sites in the world - one of the reasons it is so loved across the world.
One of those sites - which also happens to be one of the largest, if not the largest, archeological site in the world, is Pompeii. Unfortunately, Pompeii has being going through yet another rough patch lately, a result of problems that can be traced to several years. The latest woes have sparked a visit by UNESCO visitors and we hope that more care and attention will be paid in the future.
We would love to hear any experiences, good or bad, you've had when visiting Pompeii.
In other news, calendar season has begun in Italy, with the famed Pirelli calendar choosing a mythological theme for 2011. If you find yourselves in Milano, especially if with kids, check out the Village of Wonders for skating and sledge-riding right in the centre of city.
Saluti a tutti - until next week!
