Ciao a tutti,
The 8th of December in Italy (the day the Immaculate Conception is celebrated) marks the official start of holiday festivities, leading up to Christmas day in Italy. Many Italians take the chance of this holiday to decorate homes and set-up their Christmas trees, and many cities have the official unveiling of their trees, as well as the Vantican.
It is, of course, also time to seriously start getting some Christmas shopping done and we have just the thing that will help you with that. Some useful Italian shopping phrases just in case you have to do your shopping in Italy.
If you are stuck about exactly what the present should be, give the "Tenorini" a chance. They are a trio of young Italian tenors, Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble (age of 15, 16 and 14) and will have they quite unusual honor of being guests on Larry King's last show on December 16th.
Saluti a tutti - until next week!
