Buon Anno a tutti voi!
We hope you had a great Capodanno and wish you a fantastic 2013!
If like many Italians, you dressed up and put on your dancing shoes to welcome 2013, you probably enjoyed our interview to 'Ballando con le Stelle''s head judge, dancer and choreographer Carolyn Smith. Like the British TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing', 'Ballando con le Stelle' features celebrities with professional dance partners competing in ballroom and Latin dances, and over the years has inspired many Italians to dance.
Every year during the first weeks of January, Italian TV shows, magazines and dedicated websites talk about the horoscope for the new year. Even this year at ITALY Magazine, we decided to have fun and commissioned an Italy related travel horoscope for you. Find out if your Italian dream will come true in 2013.
But in Italy the holidays aren't over until la Befana arrives on the 6th of January. L'Epifania marks the end of the Italian holiday season. Children commemorate the arrival of "I Magi" (the three kings) bearing gifts for baby Jesus, and also celebrate La Befana, the kind but ugly witch who brings nice gifts to good children and coal to the naughty ones. What will she bring to you this year?
A presto!
