Ciao a tutti,
"Shun those studies in which the work that results dies with the worker."
Leonardo Da Vinci
The National Gallery's exhibition - Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan, (8th November 2011 - 5th of February 2012) has proven the timeless charm of Italy's greatest genius, Leonardo. In the first 10 days the exhibition was "assaulted" by more than 300 thousand visitors and by early December it was already sold out. Part of our team visited the gallery this month. Needless to say, we loved it! So we decided to celebrate Leonardo with a special series of articles.
We dedicated Italy's Treasures feature to Leonardo Da Vinci writing about his life and achievements. A simple way to discover his many talents for those few who might still be unfamiliar with his multifaceted genius.
Mark T. Collinson took us to Vinci to explore the birthplace of Leonardo in the beautiful hills of Tuscany.
Finally, Lyn Funnel told us about her experience at the Leonardo exhibition at the National Gallery which she defines as: "A true once-in-a-lifetime experience!" We couldn't agree more!
A presto,
ITALY team
