Amici di Italy Magazine,
Italy is famous for its wonderful free sandy beaches and beach resorts which are scattered all along the coasts of the peninsula. But what should you be wearing when joining the crowd? What's it like spending a whole day on a sandy beach on the Adriatic Sea or any other beach resort in the Bel Paese?
As beachgoers hit the sand, we dedicated this week to La Spiaggia to help you "navigate" the Italian beach.
We presented the 2013 Italian swimwear trends through the collections of Italy's most famous beachwear brands, La Perla, Yamamay and Parah, and took a light-hearted look at how to enjoy a day on a busy Italian beach at a typical Stabilimento Balneare (a sort of beach club with umbrellas and deck chairs to rent).
Over a year ago we asked our readers to help the fundraising efforts of directors Sharon Boeckle and Krista Lee Weller to finish their documentary film Vendemmia, about the struggle for sustainable tourism in the Cinque Terre in Liguria. Thanks to many people and, also, to many of our readers, the documentary is now finished. They have shared their experience with us.
And we couldn't miss the chance to send our congratulations to our British readers on the birth of their future King, HRH Prince George Alexander Louis. As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge become parents for the first time, many around the world wonder when the future heir to the throne will set on his first royal tour and to where. Carol King suggested it could be Italy considering Kate's love for Italian Art and looked back on the Duchess of Cambridge's time in Florence.
This year we created a 2013 Italy Magazine desktop wallpaper calendar. We hope you liked the idea and downloaded the first months. It is now possible to download the August page.
A presto!
