Italian 1980 Olympic 100m gold medalist and longtime world 200m record-holder Mennea died in March after a long battle with a terminal illness. He was born 61 years ago on the 28th of June, so this week we celebrated his life achievements dedicating our Italy's Treasures series to sport legend Pietro Mennea.

Thinking about Italians known around the world, there is no question that Bruno Tonioli is one of Italy's most famous exports. Carol King interviewed the Italian choreographer, dancer and TV star about Italy, food, and what it's like being a judge on dancing competitions 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'Dancing With The Stars'. We discovered that despite his years abroad, he remains close to his Italian roots, with a love of food and a great sense of humour.

Finally, considering Tonioli's love for Italian food and, especially, the recipes from his region Emilia Romagna, we shared with you our recipe to prepare a great Piadina Romagnola.

The Italian Revenue have now formally confirmed that as IMU is viewed as a substitute for the income tax on the "rendita catastale", you are no longer required to make an annual tax return.
