Ciao a tutti,
This week we celebrated Martedi Grasso (Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday the last Carnival day) with a feature dedicated to the less re-known Carnival traditions of the Valle d'Aosta region which offer an amazing combination of history, art and stunning Alpine scenery.
Did you think you knew everything about Florence? With the article about Florence's Vinaino Tours, we stepped back in time and took you around an undiscovered Florence of street merchants, tradesmen and marketplaces, to enjoy its history of wine and winemaking which is still one of its less visually apparent artistic legacies.
Finally, we launched the new "Share your Italian Story" feature, our way to make it easier for you to get in touch with us and share your Italian experiences. We want to thank you the many people who have already used the new form and sent us their stories, you will find them soon featured on the front page. We would also like to remind everybody to keep those great stories coming. Whether you want to tell us about your fantastic holiday in Italy, the hurdles of buying a property and moving to Italy, your study or work experiences, or even your love story in the Bel Paese, just get in touch.
To have a better idea of what we are talking about check out the first story with Ross's account of his working experience in Senigallia, Le Marche.
Arrivederci!
ITALY team
