Amici di Italy Magazine,
2011 was the Year of Russian culture and language in Italy and the Year of Italian Culture and Language in Russia. A year later, we explored the Russians' love for all things Italian looking at the work of British born journalist and presenter Martyn Andrews on Russia Today and referring to the episodes of his weekly culture show, Moscow Out, where he explores Italy-Russia cultural relations.
Our Italy's Treasures feature this week was dedicated to musician, writer, painter, self-confessed murderer and the greatest silvers and gold-smith the world has ever seen, Benvenuto Cellini.
Day Tripper of the month suggested a visit to the enchanting city of Tivoli, just 30 km out of Rome. A trip into the culture and history of Italy, in a city that offered hospitality to emperors, popes, artists and the nobility and is still immersed in history.
A presto!
