We all agree that Halloween has little to do with Italy and Italian traditions, however, over the past few years Italians have started to celebrate the occasion on the 31st of October. So to get you in the right Halloween mood Julie Burns talked to the Italian horror maestro Dario Argento.

The arrival of Halloween get people thinking of things that go bump in the night. For ghost hunters, this is one of the best times of the year to look out for spirits and Italy is rich in opportunities for those on the trail for spooks. The 1st of November is a national holiday in Italy, known as Tutti i Santi or Ognissanti, which celebrates all saints and is followed by All Souls Day on the 2nd of November, a day devoted to honor loved ones who have passed away. Intrigued by the Italian approach to death, Pete Martin and Liz Elders visited some of Italys' monumental cemeteries.

News affecting everyone with property in Italy. To everyone's surprise, it now appears that each property-owner must give separate notice to the relevant Comune declaring that they are the owner of the property for IMU purposes.

The deadline was 30 September - as the Government itself hasn't got round to producing the forms on which the notice is to be given, they will be postponing the deadline, probably until the end of the year.
