Un ciao a tutti,
With Christmas approaching, this week we launched our Italian Christmas Special section where you can find all the features dedicated to Christmas traditions in Italy. We also prepared a Food and Recipes dedicated section as well as a Christmas Shopping one. Watch out for more dedicated features over the next weeks.
Our special focus on the "real" made-in-Italy took us to a small street in the "centro storico" of Trani, Puglia, to the elegant shop of stylist Marianna dell'Aquila who creates an intriguing array of handcrafted clothes and bags using cashmere, silk, linen and cotton, Tamzin Hardy met Marianna in her shop to discover exactly how the stylist produces such appealing designs whilst juggling a busy family life.
If you'd like to step back into another era whilst enjoying a great coffee, we suggest a visit to one of Trieste's elegant historical cafes. Find out about the history and style of the five best historic cafes in Trieste reading our dedicated feature and plan a coffee tour of Caffè Tommaseo, Bar Torinese, Caffè degli Specchi, Bar Urbanis and Caffè Pasticceria Pirona.
With great pleasure, this week Share Your Italian Book presents Fried Flowers and Fango by one of our regular writers Myra Robinson. With her usual generosity, Myra explains all the excitement of moving to Italy and the need of writing a book about her experience including the difficulties of finding a publisher.
If you have an interesting review of an Italian book or a book about/set in Italy or you have an interesting story about your Italy related publication send it to us using the "Share your Italian Book" form.
Arrivederci!
