Ciao a tutti,
On the tenth anniversary of 9/11 attacks, which destroyed the World Trade Center in New York and crippled the Pentagon in Washington, we express our outmost solidarity with all the people around the world who lost their loved ones in such a terrible way and with American people in particular.
We honor the Italian victims of 9/11 with a dedicated feature which points out at the lack of information and the "mystery" concerning the number and names of the Italian 9/11 victims. We also included video previews of the exclusive documentary on the Italian survivors of 9/11 which will be broadcast next Monday on the History Channel.
Lights, Camera, Action: the 68th edition of Venice Film Festival started on the 31st of August and will end on the 10th of September. Do not miss John Bensalhia's article taking you from the origins of the festival in 1932 up to this year edition.
This week marks the end of the first cycle of our "Share Your Italian Story" feature. We are happy to have finished with Deborah Woods' interesting and useful story which explains how she managed to become an Italian citizen reconstructing her grandfather journey from Sicily to the USA.
The response to our call to share your Italian Stories has been amazing over the past six month. We thank you so much for sharing your stories with us and our readers.
Look out for our new feature "Share your Italian Books" dedicated to your favourite books from/about Italy that will be launched soon.
Arrivederci a tutti,
ITALY team
