Amici di Italy Magazine,

While most fashionistas in love with la Moda Italiana headed for Milan Fashion Week, we reported about the success of Italian designers at the London Fashion Week, earlier this September.

We focused on a special initiative which was part of ModaItalianaLondon organised by the Italian Cultural Institute: The Italian Collective. This prestigious event for Italian fashion in London featured a chic cross-section from upcoming to internationally known, with Laura Tardelli - wife of football legend Marco - and Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone, also on show in their latest creative guises. To find out more about the success of Italian designers at the LFW do not miss Julie Burns' feature dedicated to the New Italian Design Talent and her interviews to designers Kinder Aggugini and Antonio Berardi.

Finally, in the third part of a series of interviews with those whose job it is to explain Italy to the world, Carol King spoke to Eric Reguly about his life as a correspondent based in Rome, and his experience of living and working in Italy.

A presto!

TAX ALERT - Do you need to file?

We are hearing of increasing numbers of non-Italians getting stung for not filing tax returns in Italy. Are you sure you shouldn't be filing too? Remember, whether resident or not, if you earn any income at all in Italy - for example from renting out your property - you should be filing. If your house has a catastal value of over €500, you should be filing. If you live in Italy for most of the tax year, you should be filing.

It's not too late - you can still pay with a little extra interest and file up until the end of September. If you are in any doubt as to what your obligations are, please get in touch.

And if you want to check the catastal value of your property, just send us your codice fiscale and we'll get a certificate to you FREE OF CHARGE.
