An alternate to ENEL. For all of us that have had enough of the confusion and pricing with ENEL - there is an option. We've all had the people come knock at our door and ask to see our electric statement in a ploy to switch the service, well there is a viable option. The company SATO Energia is based in Ascoli Piceno but offers electric supply/billing in all of Italy. We have recently changed our service from ENEL to SATO and are pleased with the process. Giorgio Tommassetti has lived and studied in the UK and States and can work you through the process in English. Thanks for the information Bruno. Do you know if they deal with any faults that arise outside of the house or would that still be ENEL?

SATO is simply a supplier of elecricity, they do not service any of the physical plant for the supply. Italian law allows different companies to be the provider for cost and billing while still using the transmission system of ENEL.
