Hello!We have bought an apartment in a 16th century tower in Umbria. It is a the top of a very high hill town and the building can be seen for miles around. There is a restaurant beneath us which has been asked to update it's ventilation system by the authorities. We were told by an associate of ours (not a member of the commune) that this would be a copper flue/pipe running up the side of our building, a couple of feet to the side our terrace. In terms of good neighbourlyness we had no objection to this. This morning we see (via a webcam) that the new flue is not copper at all but chrome which will looks really ugly againgst the lovely old stone of the building. Copper would be much more sympathetic and in keeping with the antiquity of the building. Does anyone know if we can appeal againgst this or whether we should have been consulted formally?Thank you Carlotta2
