This is a question for those of you that travel to Italy by car.I know there is a good few of you who do this trip on a number of occasions each year.I am currently looking to replace my current car and purchase something newer for the journey to Italy and bigger. So what cars do you guys recommend, had a good experience with and never let you down?I am swinging towards buying a newish Skoda Octavia Estate but would like to hear any stories of particularly reliable cars you use and would recommend.ThanksTony

definitely a tourer of some kind.  I work on the principle of a car strong enough to cope with the roads, distance and speed.  An engine big enough to have air con without putting strain on the performance or the heaters on.  Enough room for all your shopping transportation needs and fuel economy.  We usually go for a second hand bmv, vw, volvo, so a skoda is along similar lines. Our argument is also that perhaps these cars are built to a high level of safety, I may be wrong, i'm also not a car expert but there you have it.  Happy travelling!
