Stufa tubes- does anyone know if its

Stufa tubes- does anyone know if its legal to run a tube from a woodburner through the floor and ceiling onto the roof without permissions? I see lots around but I'd heard this had now been made illegal and the stufa had to be in a proer fireplace and chimney? any advice appreciated shas
