Toscana Restoration is not an estate agent but a property restoration company with houses for sale.We are not trying to sell you a property that we know nothing about, maybe in an area far from where we are based. We have an in depth knowledge of all the properties on our list, having carried out meticulous restoration of the majority of them. Those that you find on our list unrestored or in need of updating will be clearly defined as such.Toscana Restoration is an Italian company with one English and one Italian partner, who have over twenty years of professional experience in property. The company works exclusively in Tuscany, in and around the beautiful wine producing hill town of Montalcino, in the province of Siena.We specialise in restoring old village and town houses. We love the vibrancy and possibilities of daily life in a place where you can go out of your door and walk just a few yards for great coffee and croissants in the morning or pick up fresh local produce for supper on your way home in the evening, not to mention being surrounded by inspiring medieval art and architecture and all sorts of cultural events.Our restoration works are carried out by our trusted mastercraftsmen and are always sympathetic to the character and structure of the building that we are working on. We place great emphasis on salvaging materials, where this is not possible we use the best quality handmade replacements (for example for wood beams or terracotta floor tiles, see our website). In addittion to this already rigorous specification we also incorporate eco friendly elements into our buildings, including enhanced levels of insulation, the use of solar panels where appropriate and always ensuring that materials used in the restoration are natural, sustainable and non polluting.There is an impression among many people that Tuscany is an impossibly expensive place in which to buy. After all everybody is searching for the 'New Tuscany'.We dispute that Tuscany is uniformly expensive, in fact we are convinced that in terms of natural beauty and sheer quality of life our area offers very good value for money. Perceptions of Tuscany being an expensive area stem from prices of country villas in the Chianti,and yes those are indeed high, but elsewhere the variety and price ranges of property offers greater possibilities. As will be seen from our list we have a characterful house in a charming hill village overlooked by it's medieval castle for Euro 190.000.
