Place to visit
Martina Franca would be the obvious first choice as it is less than a km away. The baroque town has much to offer in and out of season, brimming with restaurants, boutiques and history.
But from Martina you can easily access the UNESCO town of Alberobello, the round hilltop town of Locorotondo, the little town of Cisternino with stunning views of the Valle d'itria and the bright town of Ostuni with its slaked limestone. Beaches are a drive away either on the Ionian or Adriatic as Martina is place squarely between the two!!
A number of activities could be added to your list to include archealogical visits, museum tours or energise your day with a trip down to the caves of Castellana Grotto or leap over the walls of Matera just over an hour's drive to view this historic wonderment.
