My own market stall

10/05/2009 - 10:08

There is an idea buzzing around in my head that I might like to set up and try out a market stall in our local town in Italy, selling some of my own, personal, ‘collectible’ items such as glassware (less than 75 years old, not antique), pottery, pictures etc, that I have in my holiday home, brought out from England. I would want to do this in the summer, once a month over a period of perhaps 3 months. Does anyone have any thoughts on permissions, tax, residency, or other considerations?

Do it quietly if at all possible. Maybe put your stuff on someone else's stall and pay them a small cut, otherwise there are the licences, tax and INPS for "commercianti" (currently €2800 a year).
