Looking for a couple of months winter let in the south.

We would love to spend some time this coming winter in south Italy but based on our previous experience don't think we can afford it. We were able to use 'bungalows' in campsites in the past but these are summer only and the occasional hotel just decimated our finances.Winter Morocco, Spain, Portugal and France we have done and can afford it, but Italy.Does anyone have anything to offer?A horizontal sleeping position and a bit of water would be a nice luxury.

How south is south?  I know of a lovely little house in Carunchio on the Abruzzo / Molise border that might suit you:  http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&q=carunchio&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF8&ei=0a1ETLC7NceMOJ-FlY8N&ved=0CA0Q_AU&hq=&hnear=Carunchio+Chieti,+Abruzzi,+Italy&z=12 Let me know (by PM if you prefer) if this appeals and I will put you in touch.

Pretty much year round, there are at least three small furnished places in my village, Valle San Giovanni, available for about 500-600 euros/month.  If interested just go to my webiste for the town and you will find contact information.   One thing I would be concerned about in the winter is how the place will be heated and who is responsibile for this cost.
