Oooh how much do I fancy a nice hot bath after a day of picking olives and stacking wood...It would be luv-er-lee....So we're thinking of redoing our bagno to include a proper tub, have been surfing around the net to try to find a suitable suite and am aghast at the posh designer prices. I'm after something nice but not designed by Dolce and Gabbana or Fendi at 1800 euros +++ Yikes. Is there an equivalent to the UK bathroom stores around that do ok white bathroom suites - loo basin bath (poss with centre taps and a shower over, poss a separate shower unit) bidet that dont cost the earth in Macerata or Ascoli provinces? Any recommendations warmly received or I think we'll be looking at getting one sent over from the UK - can find what we want there for under £400 but it seems mad that it would be cheaper to get it delivered here from the UK than to buy locally...Equally if anyone who has a van doing deliveries to Marche from Uk can give us a price to get it here as a part load I would be most interested.CheersAm

Oh blimey just looked at the website of the place in Fermo, fabulous stuff but suspect well pricy, too much for us I fear, I would be bathing like a filmstar but not eating for a while - I take it they are not cheap..Think I might need somewhere a bit less glam, thats the kinda 1800€ bath I won't ever be soaking in. Lovely to dream of though!

We found that for the 'economical' ranges you had to ask in the shop and they would, often, somewhat unwillingly, produce a well thumbed catalogue full of more reasonable choices. Unfortunately they tend only to display the flash ranges, implying no-one buys anything else! You could also try Persichini in Passo di Treia, or Fabio Sbaffi (Big Mat) at Villa Potenza and Piediripa. Not sure if Self in Piediripa sell baths but may also be worth a try,  Obi in Camerano (near the Auchan shopping centre and well signed) are also worth a look. Unfortunately there is no Leroy Merlin nearby, but Obi is a good alternative. Good luck and enjoy the bath and the olives!
