Hi there,I'm moving to Milan in August for two years.  I will be classed as a non-resident during that time so can't buy a car. I therefore want to bring my UK car over for the two years and want to check if this is ok and what insurance companies will insure me as an ex-pat (my UK insurance company won't insure me over there for longer than 30 days). Thanks in advance for any advice!Lyndsay

After brexit , All  Enghlish  are same Amereicans , Canadians. Russias...,- Need visa to leave from island :(to remain in Eu Country for more than 30 days , and , in any case , each time the UK citizens , will go tu EU , need a NEW visa ..., there are choices, of the British, that the man of the year 2000 has great difficulty in understanding, this is certainly one of the most difficult..

Hi Lyndsey,With regard to the car insurance, we insured ours with Stuart Collins Insurance who are based in the UK. (Had our UK registered car with us whilst working in Italy for two years.)They are specialists in insurance of UK vehicles for use overseas. Very reasonable price and full EU coverage.Never had a mishap so don’t know what their claims dept is like mind!Hope this helps,David
