Hi there Can anyone reccommend a  good restaurant in petritoli? Thanks

jowilliams on the 'old forum' posted;- Here is information on the restaurants in Petritoli where I live.Ristorante Hotel Roma:A great place to stop for lunch. Excellent priced food at bargain prices. Bread, a pasta dish, wine, water, fruit and coffee all for 6 euros.Osteria de le Cornacchie:A set menu of traditional local dishes. Broad beans to die for. This Osteria is famous in the area and extremely popular. You do not have to eat the tripe! Well worth a visit. Vegitarians should inform Sergio the owner beforehand. Advanced booking required.Ristorante Re Squarchiò:What can I say? Prepare yourself for a feast! The food just keeps arriving(again it is a set menu) so go carefully on the starters. This really is an excellent restaurant. Andrea speaks some English and makes the best italian baked beans I have tasted. Open at lunchtime. Advanced booking required and again let Andrea know beforehand if you are vegetarian. Go carefully on the vino cotto and mistrà!Ristorante Pizzeria Obelix:Haven't been!! It has recently changed hands, but reports have been excellent by locals and expats. Open Lunchtime. Hope it helps .

HelloDoes anyone know Re Squarchio or Osteria de la Cornacchie and when they are open /closed? Do they only open if they have a booking? Does anyone know typical costs for a meal in either? Thanks :o)

I have only just seen this post and I am probably three months too late to be helpul. We have stayed at Albergo Roma six or seven times in the last year or so and always enjoyed the food which is exceptional value even if the service can be a little quirky sometimes. As well as the other restaurants a bit more up-market from Roma, already mentioned in previous posts, there is also Villa Montotto. This is a couple of miles out of Petritoli on the way to Monterubbiano in the very small hamlet of Montotto. After the several courses of antipasto you may not even need a primo piatto nevermind a secondo! We have also had good meals in Osteria Pazzi in the centre of Monterubbiano. If you get the chance, try the Tagliatelli Fritte; invented by one of the osteria's previous owners.
