straight off the Repubblica website - a revolution in fast-food. Pasta that is cooked with the same speed as coffee from a special machine invented by Barilla. The Pasta Bar is the answer to eating pasta everywhere - pasta goes on the top and the sauce gets heated in the bottom. 250gr - cooked in 60-70 seconds.here is the link to the video on Repubbblica.it don't know what to think really - better than a McDonalds - maybe...

A brilliant commercial idea, but nothing can beat fresh pasta and home-made sauce. It is not difficult or time consuming to make something like fresh tagliatelle with just some cream, smoked salmon and capers.... Delicious and it only takes about 5 minutes once the water is boiling.

Why do es anybody seem to find that sort of thing nescessary. Italy is the home of the Slow Food Movement, and I'm sure if most Italians were in that much of a hurry they would grab a Foccacia. I'll give it a couple of months then we'll see.
