Hello fellow lover's of Italy

06/17/2009 - 06:14

Hello Everbody,  Di & Kevin have just joined the site because we love everything Italian, and have just bought ourselves a home in Tuscany.  We own a piece of paradise in Coreglia Antelminelli which we completed the purchase of a month ago.  There are a few minor jobs to be done on our property like decorating, and furnishing, but all major work had already been carried out.  We chose the area because it is so gorgeous, and offers the chance to ski in winter, and swim in summer while living in an area of outstanding beauty.  We have called the house Casa Gomito, because it is the name of the largest mountain at Abertone, and it means Elbow - The name of our favourite Band.  It's music that brought us together. Our intention is to move out in 2 years time, and make the most of this beautiful area.  We are currently learning to speak the language, and the lessons on Italy Mag will certainly be of use to us both.We look forward to getting to know other members of this forum over the coming years.Thank you.Di & Kevin

Beautiful place, Coreglia Antelminelli, we are actually neighbours as we have a place in Bagni di Lucca, although we do not live there permanently. You may be interested in joining our Northern Tuscany group which is open to anyone with an interest in the area. You will be able to find useful information there and you may contribute by posting comments or your own handy tips there. If you like Italian Food and Wine, "Il Buongustaio" Circle (another group) is open to everyone.Best wishes with all your projects.
