Hi can anyone help.  Last month I bought 800 euros worth of pellets for next winter - what a mistake!  The type I purchased are NAturKraft.  2 weeks ago I had a visit from the Carabinieri who slapped a seizure order on them and told me I must not use them, touch them or move them.  Apparently they might be radio active.  Currently there is a big investigation going on into these pellets as a result of an analysis of a sack of the pellets purchased in Valle D'Aosta.  I contacted the Swedish company that distribute the pellets and they say that it is all rubbish, the pellets are not contaminated and they are currently having independent tests done.Has anyone else been caught up in this?  I just know that being italy this investigation will drag on for ever and will be unable to get a refund or indeed  get rid of the things so that I can purchase more.Any advice appreciated.  Nicola

YES,Ididn't realize this story was still going on.A  few months ago it was reported that one brand of pellets made in lithuania ( i can't remember the name but it may well be distributed by a swedish company) were found to be radio active.announcements were made, commercialization of these was stopped i suppose tit took time to track down all those who had bought and sold them.i don't think there's anything you can do about it quite frankly.in fact it seems that they actually were radioactive something to do with a nuclear reactor there in lithuania. so i think you've lost the money.i only buy six or seven sacks at a time when i need them as they're always available even during the winter.
