Venice is one of the most beautiful city in the world: despite being tiny, it hoards an impressive wealth of Art, Architecture and History, making it a truly unique place. The “Friend in Venice Project” invites you to visit Venice not as simple Tourists, but as true Travelers.

Nadia, your tour leader, will show you how to get off-the-beaten-path, discovering the mysterious, hidden corners of Venice which is not just St. Mark’s Square: it is also St. Mark’s Square.

We will discuss History, Art, Architecture, Crafts, Culinary Traditions, Legends, Curiosities … or whatever it is that interests you most!

Friend in Venice offers you three beautiful tours:

La Dolce Vita

Come and live “La Dolce Vita” in one of the most beautiful settings of the world: Venice! Let us have a relaxing stroll off the touristic routes, to discover the most unusual and authentic corners of the city. Let us enjoy the views, savor the play of light and the sound of the water around us, while stopping in three typical restaurants to savor delights such as “cicchetti” and a glass of local wine!
If you wish, we can dedicate one hour of the tour to a small cruise on the Grand Canal (the main waterway of Venice) aboard a luxury private motorboat. Comfortably sitting on a soft sofa we will thus travel “in-style”, admiring the most famous monuments of the city and the most evocative minor canals …We will enjoy every moment of this tour and, in so doing, truly experience “La Dolce Vita” for one day!

• Price 1-4 people: 200€ total + tasting fee (c.a. 50€ per person) + luxury motor launch rental fee (if included).

Venice for Pleasure:
This tour (perfect for first-timers) will introduce you to Venice from its two most beautiful perspectives: the ground and the water!
We will start with a walk off-the-beaten-path, learning what made the “Serenissima” great in the past. We will tread upon this city’s ancient stones, gazing at its monuments, its silent waterways and smallest details… heeding the many stories they still tell us, surrounded by the magic that only the “non-touristic Venice” can offer!
Once aboard our private water-taxi we will then see seven centuries of this History parading before us, as we cruise the whole Grand Canal (the city’s main waterway) and the most beautiful minor canals from their best perspective… water!

The Northen Lagoon:
Let us hop on a boat and visit the most famous islands of the Northern Lagoon: Murano and Burano await us! If time allows, let us also head over to Torcello, or to a small “hidden gem”: the island of San Francesco del Deserto. This tour of natural, ethnographic and cultural interest will take us to the brim of the Venetian Lagoon, in search of the many (sometimes contradictory) traces of its past and the overwhelming beauty of its Nature. An amazing experience, to enjoy at leisure for a whole day, slowly discovering one of the most extraordinary environments in the world, listed as UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987.
