Today, June 29, marks the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, a liturgical feast in honor of the martyrdom in Rome of the apostles Peter and Paul, a celebration that dates back to ancient times.

Many towns around Italy hold celebrations and parades for the occasion. We show you below a video from the procession held in Aversa, a town a few miles from Naples, where St. Paul is the patron saint of the city. The Aversa Cathedral or Duomo di Aversa, the seat of the Bishop of Aversa since 1053, is a Romanesque cathedral dedicated to Saint Paul.
