Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman and Jack Nicholson are set to play themselves on holiday in Italy in a film, according to reports in the Italian media.

Italian news agency ANSA reports that Italian-born Hollywood producer and agent Oscar Generale revealed plans for the movie, which is set to be shot in 2014. The top actors will join forces for the film to be directed by Paul Sorvino and called ‘One More Time’. The agency says that the actors will visit Venice, as well as locations in Abruzzo, Calabria and Tuscany for the film.

Generale revealed plans for the proposed project at the Capannina di Franchesi club in Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, while he was scouting possible film locations. Generale told Italian newspaper ‘Corriere Fiorentino’ that Hoffman, Al Pacino, Nicholson and De Niro have accepted roles in the movie because “They want to have a lot of fun working together.”

However, given that there is another film of the same name slated for release in 2014, perhaps the rumoured Hollywood starrer might hit cinemas with a different title. There have also been reports that Nicholson is retiring from acting because of memory problems. The 76-year-old actor has denied the reports, telling British newspaper ‘The Sun’: “I only want to do films that move people, films about emotions and people.”

Italian-American actor Sorvino is best known for his roles in films ‘Goodfellas’, ‘Nixon’ and ‘Romeo+Juliet’. He has directed for TV and if ‘One More Time’ is realised, it would be his directorial debut for the big screen.
