Two dogs stood watch over their dead owner for two days after he died last week. The Italian media reports that the two small dogs guarded the body of their 64-year-old owner, Aldo Todaro, who died at his home in Lecco in Lombardy of a sudden illness. The two female dogs stayed beside their owner, who lived alone. Reports say that Todaro was self-employed and worked as a designer of electrical installations. Todaro was discovered after a neighbour became suspicious because he had not heard from his friend and his house remained shut. The neighbour called emergency services. Rescue staff and police went to the house, where they found Todaro dead in bed. Todaro’s faithful pets were standing guard at his bedside.
