Ed. February 3, 2023: In celebration of Giancarlo Giannini's recently announced recognition on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, we're re-sharing this compelling Calabria tourism campaign video that he lent his voice to in 2014.
The Calabria Tourism Board has launched a promotional video that features the newly restored Riace Bronzes, the famous statues that were recently returned to Reggio Calabria's Museum of Magna Graecia after lying neglected for years in a storage room inside the regional government’s offices.
The video clocks in at just 45 seconds and features stunning yet understated shots of the statues, merged with the warm and vibrant voice of beloved Italian actor Giancarlo Giannini.
“Calabria always amazes you” is the campaign slogan, and with Giannini delivering it, it's tough to argue.
