I have identified a home to purchase in the Barbaresco area. The owner is not Italian, but has owned the home for 30 years. The home appears to be solid and functional, but in need of updats which I will do myself as local laws permit. I know this is a general question, but any do's and don't would be appreciated. I have a geometra, I have very good local friends to ask about workers, but any comments about the purchase process would be appreciated. They are clearly very different than in America. Many Thanks..
