Hi fellow animal lovers,My Wife and I (and Dog) will be relocating to Ceranova, Pavia next month. We have a dog (Saluki breed) that will need a lot of walking and running. At the moment we are living in Copenhagen, Denmark and live next to a huge park where the dogs can be let off the leash and run freely with the other dogs.As we will be living in a rural area, what are the local rules regarding dogs off the leash and running freely in the fields?Do we need to be wary of hunters, traps, p*ssed off farmers, etc?I see that there are lots of neighbours with dogs in my area (when we visited last month) but I get the impression they are for "guard duty" and not house pets as we would treat them. What I'm hoping to find is a like-minded group of people where we can meet up and take the dogs to socialise and run freely, without the fear of being poisoned, run over or generally mistreated.Any thoughts? John, Angela & Doggie

I found an article which may interest you which was posted in the old forum by our fellow member (Badger, formerly Geotherm). Here are the links:rome.angloinfo.com/countries/italy/animals.asp#threatPoisoning is still a problem in some areas and you should be careful when you allow Doggie to run free. You may also find useful information here:www.dogwelcome.it
