I contracted with a geometra to perform various works to my house. Most were completed satisfactorily but a number of jobs were either not completed or completed to a poor standard and the geometra refuses to recognise this. I now have to incur the cost (and time) in completing the works to a reasonable standard.

The geometra is seeking full settlement of his costs (approx 6k) and has padlocked the gates to the property. He states he is entitled to do so, my Italian solicitor advises that the position is not clear ......

Need advice on cost of renovation of roof/house is old farmhouse 120sqm/geometra says it needs new insulation to be bring it up to modern building standards.Also blasting of old plaster on exterior to reveal old stonework.Can anyone help?

We have just had a roof redone and it does not have a 'RING ' fitted. Can anyone advise us of the legal requirements concerning earthquakes and the restoration of buildings and roofs. Any help and advice would be great.

We're in UK and now can't visit our house near Lanciano for the forseeable future due to our new baby. If anyone interested in a medium term housesitting / very cheap rent arrangement pls let me know. Rural setting but although nice neighbours nextdoor, would just prefer it occupied so rent not an issue.
