have a look at www.dishpointer.com which gives all the popular sats for Italy (see below) and also tells you where to point your dish from your house complete with skew. 1. 13E EUTELSAT HOT BIRD 13A | EUTELSAT HOT BIRD 13B | EUTELSAT HOT BIRD 13C 2. 19.2E ASTRA 1H | ASTRA 1KR | ASTRA 1L | ASTRA 1M | ASTRA 2C 3. 10E EUTELSAT 10A 4. 9E EUTELSAT 9A | EUTELSAT KA-SAT 9A 5. 16E EUTELSAT 16A   28.2 is where the ASTRA satellites are shown but I suspect they have moved and the web site not updated. Wasn't Astra decomissioned for a while?

Thanks, had previously checked Dishpointer however no mention of 28.2 so am assuming it has moved or been discontinued since, according to Hoyle,  the SKY UK signal is not supposed to be accessible outside the UK although we subscribed (through a UK address) for some 15 years here and in Austria. When we switched to SKY.IT we continued on SKY FTA also, however returning after six months we cannot receive the signal here any longer.

... just been looking at http://robssatellitetv.webs.com/ where there is all the info and lots of interesting chat on the forum. It seems that 28.5E position will be back up in July. After that, as now, it all comes down to your location and the footprint of the satellite. I know folks here in Umbria still get FTA TV with circa 1m dishes.  The forum chat implied that equipment made a big difference - specifically Opticom lnb's - and Humax receivers.
