In the little hamlet of Macereto just outside Tavernelle where there are shops and other services, is this small recently restored tower house made up of three rooms on three floors. Panicale is a vibrant medieval village situated on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno. It has a few shops, bars and restaurants and there is live music in the piazza during the summer months. It is only a few kilometres from the larger towns of Castiglione del Lago and Chiusi where there is a station with regular trains to Rome, Florence and Siena.
