A small Gallura enclave in Anglona, in north-western Sardinia, five kilometers from the sea and 50 from Sassari, Santa Maria Coghinas lies on a bank of the Coghinas river. Close to the hills bordering a fertile valley where vineyards and artichokes are intensively cultivated, just a few minutes from the Gulf of Asinara.
A thick blanket of Mediterranean scrub and cork covers the landscape around the Coghinas. Here live herons, ospreys, partridges and water turtles. A few steps from the town, where the river creates a bend, at the foot of a granite hill, the thermal baths of Casteldoria emerge, famous for their therapeutic qualities since Roman times and today a renowned spa. Today you will see the Doria tower, some parts of the walls, the remains of a chapel and a cistern for water supply dating back to Roman times stand out from a distance, well preserved. The ruins of the ancient village also remain standing, perhaps built together with the fortress.
The village winds around the main road and consists mainly of small one- and two-story buildings characterized by cheerful pastel colors that were built and renovated over the years. In one of these, built in 2008, is the apartment we want to offer.
It is located on the first floor and is accessible by an exclusive external staircase, which leads to the entrance balcony from which you can enjoy a view that sweeps between the houses of the town and the pleasant hills that line the town.
The door leads us directly to the living area, a large room with an irregular shape of over 30 square meters, already equipped with kitchen block but furnished and usable at will according to family needs. A niche currently houses the washing machine and the water heater, but can be easily transformed into a practical and functional pantry.
On the small hallway of the sleeping area overlook the bathroom with window, equipped with a shower and clad with blue ceramics that recall the colors of the sea and the two bedrooms both of moderate size and can be optimized in spaces with functional furniture solutions easily available on the market.
The apartment is in good condition and the quality standards are of good quality and include the security door, the wooden windows, the external shutters with adjustable slats and the split air conditioning / heating system in every room.
The convenient parking in the courtyard of the house completes the offer.
