Description

In a small hamlet not far from the lively village of Murazzano, with stunning views of the Langhe and the Alps, a cluster of farmhouses whose oldest part goes back to the 1700's with 6 hectares (close to 15 acres) of land. Four attached houses make up the property. The oldest house, going back to the very beginning of the 18th century, represents a particularly fine example of Langhe's traditional rural architecture. It exhibits a regular, almost square floorplan and spreads over three levels. The ground floor features several cellar rooms as well as a beautiful well which has found mention in various ancient documents. The first floor measures approximately 150 sq meters and is in fair, nearly habitable condition. Of equal size as the the 1st floor, the upper floor is in need of more extensive renovation. It is distinguished by a south-facing loggia with four impressive, arched openings. While this house needs to be renovated, its structural condition is sound. The second house contains the property's currently habitable section. On the ground floor we find a kitchen, a dining room and a boiler room which may quite easily be transformed into a bathroom; on the upper floor there are two bedrooms and a bath. The two remaining buildings are a stable with overlying hayloft and a portico with a hayloft. The property's land consists of a cultivated section and an untended section. The southern slope was formerly cultivated as a vineyard. The more level expanse of land is suitable for growing hazel shrubs or cereals. We are of the opinion that the present property is equally well suited for residential as for business use as a bed & breakfast or holiday rental. Moreover, the presence of a habitable section allows to make use of the property without prior restoration while the two agricultural outbuildings open the possibility of further future expansion. Finally, the property's commanding location with its amazing landscape views is truely unique.
