As far as I am aware there aren't many companies who do that kind of thing, there is this linkwww.propertyexpertsitaly.com who do maintenance and management, they did have connections to veneto, but I believe have now transferred everything to Marche. They do have a good reputation. And I have used Marco for other services.

I would advise getting everything checked by professionals, from paperwork, to house itself, before buying, for a relatively small expense you could save yourselves from some very expensive burocratic matters that would need resoving. Try these guys, they can recommend english speaking law firms toowww.propertyexpertsitaly.com

I think you will find, that if you want the land to be yours legally, you will have to do it through a notaio.

A happy expat is someone who accepts and loves Italy for everything it is.warts and all! My strongest advice is that everyone should learn the language, it changes life in Italy, and helps avoid all sorts of sometimes costly misunderstandings..especially when restoring a property...use the professionals available, who speak your language aswell as Italian, it will save ou nightmares, and make you a happy expat!:)

You might like to try the are around The Lazio/marche/umbria/abruzzo borders, beautiful area, and some very cheap properties, Main towns include, Amatrice (lazio) Acquasanta terme (marche) Arquata del tronto (marche) Norcia (Umbria) Abruzzo in that area is probably a bit "wilder", but I know of someone who bought a property (3 bed 2 baths) to renovate for less than €20,000, Do have the property inspected however, wherever you decide to buy, before you buy.....
