How did we feel about Michael o'Leary's view about flying through volcanic ash? Would we be happy to fly with Ryanair as we'd have more chance of arriving at our destination, or more likely to fall out of the sky?

OMG, by the time we left Sardinia on 25th June it was mid 30s and we were suffering a bit. Is it normally a bti humid there or was there something a bit different about the weather this year? A waiter was saying there was a mistral blowing, we were grateful for any breeze! I think May is our month, though this year I believe weather in Europe was pretty poor in May this year. Back in North West Blighty it has poured all week, but at midday today it stopped, just as well as we have been to open air theatre, everything was perfect! Count your blessing, you in the warmer climes.
Have now returned from three weeks at Hotel Flamingo which turned out to be a good choice. Used the car to head East, North and West and saw beaches, city, heritage sites but we will remember the holiday mostly for such a relaxing break and fabulous food (though very expensive drinks) at our hotel. Now I see the significance of your Avatar, Pas55! It is now in our house in various guises!

I have a 'petrol prices' app on my iPhone which gives prices in the local area. Not sure if it will work away but will give it a go next month.
Check that out pronto! My contacts tell me a WW2 bomb has been found at the airport and there are massive delays.

Thanks for the comments, we found that we were tied with flights to Cagliari from Manchester so have booked into the Flamingo Hotel at Santa Margherita di Pula for three weeks, will hire a car for middle week/ten days. Looking forward to it! Any further tips would be greatly appreciated!
Seems an odd choice to me, you must have your reasons.My daughter has just returned from Le Marche, a lot of seemed to be shut now, sounds as if it has a short season...
