How did we feel about Michael o'Leary's view about flying through volcanic ash?  Would we be happy to fly with Ryanair as we'd have more chance of arriving at our destination, or more likely to fall out of the sky?

We are thinking of going to Sardinia for a holiday in June and wonder which is the best bit to aim for.  Have heard of Costa Esmerelda, any views on it?

Trip Report: Positano May 2009  After our adventures in Rome and Avellino Province in Campania (see previous trip reports) we moved on for the main part of our holiday, some serious chilling out on the beach.  We left our Agriturismo near Contrado

Trip Report Campania May 2009  We drove south from Rome stopping for lunch in Cassino, and drove up to the Abbey but everything was shut for lunch, a spectacular setting and many reminders of the conflict from WW2.We somehow missed our turning and

There doesn't seem to be a Campania section any more on this forum, I did a lot of research for our holiday on it....needless to say we had a great time, though got lost in Avellino every time we went there, it became our least favourite place tha

Well, you are not alone, I see in today's paper that Her Majesty's first Buckingham Palace Garden Party was rained out by a torrential storm, the venerable lawns covered with hail stones and scattered chairs as everyone dived for cover...the band played on apparently...

We visited when in Umbria in 2007 and absolutely loved it, the Duomo is mind blowing.  My husband will always choose an Orvieto Classico if he sees it on the wine list...  hope all goes well.I remember there was a railway station there, would that be a possibility?

I  too loved the Savage Garden.    Urbino definitely needs visiting, for every reason, not just because of something in a book!  Magical place.I read a detective book translated from the Italian, daughter has it at present, can't remember author or title, was it something like Death in Tuscany?  Set around Carrarra, very atmospheric around the marble quarries etc.  Written by a genuine ex detective, recommended.A suggested book a month to read perhaps?  anyone have the first one?

Ours has always been weighed as far as I can remember in Liverpool or Manchester. In May we flew with jet2.com and stupidly I didn't check the dimensions of my hand luggage bag which is right for Ryanair which I assumed would be the stingiest measurements of all.... sadly it was too big, I had to put it in the box thing at check in, fortunately we could check it in the hold for £15 rather than whatever horrors of excess baggage we would have paid with Bryanair.
